Our Town Theatre will be holding auditions for the next two productions:

On February 19 and 20 from 6-8 p.m. in the basement of the theatre for The Cemetery Club, by Ivan Menchell. This cast calls for 4 females and 1 male age 50+. The Cemetery Club will be performed April 12-16. This show will be directed by Mikey Virts.

Synopsis from Concord Theatricals:

Three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam and Ida. They are guilt-stricken when this nearly breaks Ida’s heart.

On March 12 from 2-5 p.m. and March 13 from 6-9 p.m., Phil Wotherspoon will hold auditions for The Odd Couple, by Neil Simon, to be performed June 1-3 and June 8-11. This cast calls for 3 females and 5 males, age 30s+.

Synopsis from Concord Theatricals:

This classic comedy opens as a group of the guys assemble for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix Unger, who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed, and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds, Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple is born.
