“A Penny for Their Thoughts”: A Night for Alzheimer’s Awareness

Synopsis

We are proud to be partnering with Pop Pop’s Path for an event on Friday, June 23.

Dave Arnold has been a stalwart volunteer and friend since he and his wife Donna moved to Garrett County to be closer to their daughter, Jen Virts. When he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, he took immediate action, with the tremendous support of his granddaughter Maddy, and formed a nonprofit organization to raise awareness and provide support for local residents.

This event, which will be held on Friday, June 23 at 7 pm at Our Town Theatre, is free to attend. It will feature poems, readings, songs, jokes, and a short play, As Pat Glides on Into the Future, written by Barry Weinberg for the occasion.

All donations will benefit Pop Pop’s Path, a 501(c)3 organization.
